Wendy Van Meensel

Wendy got a degree in commercial engineering with specialization in Marketing in 1997. Her first experience was in the distribution sector as department head at a hypermarket. Then she continued her career in the business world, first as a logistics controller, then as international account manager.

Then in 2002 she met her current partner, Daniel.  They decided to become “partners in crime” and Wendy stepped into the ‘horeca’  adventure. Together they started in 2002 and 2003, 2 businesses: Transit-East, a loungebar/club , a real trendsetter in the sector. A year later “Bouchon” opened its doors , an innovative and trendy class restaurant. Bouchon served a very decent cuisine with a French basis and Fusion influences.  In that same period, she started to organize together with her partner also several annual events, like Festival del Sol, DJ-city and Hasselt Beach. Besides handling the booking and contracts for events, Wendy took the staff, accounts, websites, etc on her behalf. It soon became clear to her that the organization of events was what  fascinated her most.

After selling the business, from mid-2008 onwards,  Wendy was responsible for B2B events at Noxx Antwerp. As she was responsible for the complete preparation and handling of events from 50 to 1500 people, Wendy knows all the details and problems one encounters in organizing events  .
